I have worked in Education as a qualified Teacher in mainstream Primary and Secondary and in Special Education in both Primary and Secondary.   This has mainly been with Children with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Difficulties.

I have been a SENDCo, Assistant Head teacher and have been a Designated Teacher for Safeguarding and LAC.  I have also been a SEND Officer for a local authority where I wrote Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP’s) and attended reviews and co-production meetings for Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Post 16 pupils.

Previously I have worked in the Health Service as a qualified Nurse, Midwife and Health Visitor and as a Health Service Manager.  During my time in the Health Service, I worked in Accident and Emergency, Surgery, delivered babies and provided support and advice to families on parenting and child care issues.  I also provided training to staff on Safeguarding and Clinical Governance.  I was also a Clinical Supervisor for Nurses.
